Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the remaining oil. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until just tender.
  5. Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well and cook for 1–2 more minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
